We invite expansive and inclusive interpretations of care toward all environs, things, and beings. We ask for considered work that attends to expressions of sacredness and meaning-making. We are especially drawn to work that reimagines tradition and traverses schisms. We are fans of talking donkeys, reluctant prophets, and persistent curiosity.

We believe the how matters as much as the what. To that effect, we commit to exercising thoughtfulness and care in our processes—to our contributors, community, and to ourselves. We are committed to prioritizing underrepresented and emerging writers, who bear the material burden of sustaining their practice and have an ability to speak urgently to the precarity of our time.
